Matthew Overcast, a proud Republican with strong ties to the Ozarks, is thrilled to announce his candidacy for Missouri State Representative House District 155, hailing from Ava, Missouri. Growing up on a family farm in Douglas County, Overcast resembles the core values of hard work and community spirit. After graduating from Ava High School, he pursued higher education, obtaining degrees from Drury University and Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and subsequently becoming a licensed Missouri Attorney.

Overcast’s journey includes service to the nation as a United States Air Force veteran, where he served as a Tactical Aircraft Journeyman and Dedicated Crew Chief. His military experience, coupled with service-connected disabilities, has fueled his dedication to ensuring that public servants receive adequate resources and support, especially in safeguarding their retirement benefits. Furthermore, Overcast brings a wealth of business experience to his candidacy, having firsthand knowledge of the challenges entrepreneurs face in southern Missouri.
